ESA Winter 2020 - First Round of Accepts/"Cuts" and moving forward
ESA Winter 2020 will be held, just like Summer, in the Quality Hotel View, Malmö which we will be happy to call home for some time going forward.
A warm thank you to everybody who submitted their runs to ESA Winter 2020! For the last two weeks we’ve been looking at your submissions and announced the first batch of accepted games.

Big News
For multiple reasons we originally wanted to focus on only one stream at ESA Winter 2020. However, after diving deeper into the submissions we realized that there are so many great runs that deserve to be showcased that we wouldn’t be able to make happen with one stream.
Long story short: We set some cogs in motion and German production LEGEND Liva will return to Malmö in February and help us to extend the show to a second stream!
The status quo
All the submissions that are accepted will be part of the marathon.
All the games that are still “Saved” will be reviewed again during the time leading up to the schedule release on December 15th.
All the games/categories that are rejected will not show up in the first schedule drafts of either stream, but will still be considered as backups. We will once again give out reasons for these decisions. Contact us through Discord (info below). Please keep in mind that it might take us a while to answer, but we’ll do our best to get back to you.
Moving forward
If one of your submissions got accepted and you haven’t done so yet, make sure to get a ticket and plan your travels. You’ll find all the necessary information in the General Info Post.
The purpose of the time between now and the release of the schedule is to allow runners to improve all aspects about their submission while also giving us the possibility to look closer at each individual game.
You can still edit your profile as well as your submission to keep us up to date about your progress or add donation incentives and bid wars. Make sure to edit your submission should your estimate change, if you have a new video to show off or new information about your run.
If you let us know about your availability at the event through your profile in the submissions tool we’ll make sure to be mindful of that when creating the schedule.
As already stated in the original post about the submission process, we will reopen game submissions for chase games and unreleased games (info here) again during Thursday, December 12th and Friday, December 13th.
We’re hoping to see you all back for the schedule release on December 15th!
