ESA Winter 2020 - Volunteering Information
ESA Winter 2020 has moved! It will be held, just like Summer, in the Quality Hotel View, Malmö which we will be happy to call home for some time going forward.
Just like every year, ESA heavily depends on volunteers, and just like every year we’re asking you to help out! Do you want to help us make the next ESA Winter the best one yet?
The submission system will be the same as for ESA Summer 2019, and you will find the applications forms here: https://submissions.esamarathon.com/dashboard/applications
Timeline
Submission phase: December 15th - January 15th with the exception of donation reading which will end on January 1st.
Volunteering roles
The roles we need help with is:
Fundraising
The fundraising team has two major roles being recruited to for ESA Winter.
Donation Reading
The voices of every donation, responsible for hyping up viewers, promoting our sponsors and prizes throughout the event.
Donation Screening
Those with prior ESA experience will also be given time in this supervisory role, screening donations for suitability while guiding new donation readers in their job.

Tech
Tech keeps the stream running smoothly. If you have experience in production, whether on the audio or video side of it, or just a knack for it and a craving to learn more, then please apply to become a tech volunteer.

Event Support and Administration
At Event Support and Administration and the Infodesk you will be making sure to provide people with their badge, merchandise, questions pertaining the event and generalized security, one being badge checks.

Moderating
Moderation will be keeping an eye on chat to make sure everyone follows the rules. We won’t have on-site moderators for ESA Winter, if you want to help from home, please use the off-site moderation application.

Video / Media
We’re also looking for people to help us document the event, either as a photographer, videographer, editor or the likes, feel free to apply!

Compensation
Selected volunteers will have their ticket refunded in full.
